MEAT
HANDLER USER EARNS WILD AWARDS!
April 19, 2000. Meat Handler user and taxidermist, Marilyn Nihiser from Troy,
Illinois, reported exhibiting at the Illinois state taxidermy tradeshow,
March 24-26, 2000.
There she earned a red ribbon on an African Klipspringer (a
fine boned miniature looking like a cross between a goat and a small
deer), and a second place on her Zebra head mount. Both of these animals were bagged while Marilyn was on safari.
The display of two grand white bearded mountain goats mounted on a
set of “custom made” Alaskan looking boulders complete with snow also
earned a second.
Marilyn hunted with her father while growing up and since
1987 has pursued taxidermy (in addition to running a family based meat
company). We congratulate
Marilyn on her fine craftsmanship and visions!
