FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wisconsin Meat Show Yields Big Winners!April 8, 2000, Middleton, WI, USA -- Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors product competition awards announced The Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors held its annual convention this week. In conjunction with the meeting and tradeshow, there is a meat product competition. This year there were over 900 entries in 33 classes, which yielded a total of 133 awards. Fifty-one plants entered in the competition which ranged from boneless hams, cooked summer sausage, bacons, new pork products, cooked and jellied loaves, and whole muscle and extruded jerky. The wide variety of Wisconsin style sausages included ring bologna, four styles of bratwurst, cooked and smoked luncheon loaves, ring liver sausage, and braunschweiger. Judges came from around the breadbasket of the American
mid-west with discriminating palates. They scored each product on external
